Captain Smith isn't going to be hanged. The Captain of all of the ships has told him that it's unnecesarry for him to die for something he didn't even do. Captain Charles doesn't like this and goes crazy and declares war against his own country. Captain smith laughs at him and calls him insane, so they started to get into a brawl with each other.  The tables have turned and now Captain Charles is on the edge of his life.

Blood on the River #11
Pgs. 168-192
Captain Smith is back from a couple weeks away with the Indians, everybody has lots of questions of what happened to him. Captain Smith told them what happened, and how he and the indian's became friends. At first he says" the Indian's where going to kill me", but the Powhatan chiefs daughter told the other Indians not too, so they didn't. But since Captain Smith is now back Captain Charles is arresting him for murder, that he didn't even do, and is being hanged next morning. Samuel doesn't like this and when Captain Charles is taking Captain Smith away Samuel throws a rock at his head. Captain Charles is infuriated at Samuel and is about to beat him, but Reverend Hunt catches Captain Charles stick and says, " I will deal with this boy, don't worry about what he has done". Reverend Hunt is mad at Samuel, but he holds his anger an tells him to pray for what he has done. Now that Samuel is done praying, he says" Captain smith is going to need a miracle. That he did-the next morning a English ship came by with the Captain of all of the English ships. Now that the Captain of all of the english ships is here, maybe Captain Smith wont have to be hung.

Jeremy is on his way to the indians for who took all of the crew. Jeremy talks to the indian chief to let them all go and he suceeds.  Except for Captain Smith, Captain Smith had to stay for some appearant reason. So all of the men got to go back to the ships. Since Captain Smith is now no with the rest of the ship members, they can't communicate with the indians, this is a big problem because, they can't communicate for food, directions, and many opther things. Everybody is scared because they think they wont be able to survive through this winter without  Captain Smith. "It's going to be a long and dreadful witer", says Samuel pg. 178.

Since Samuel and the rest of the crew men are being invaded from the indians, Jeremy - Samuel's best friend  on deck ran and hid under a barrel. The indians are now taking over their ship and have made all of the sailors go to their site to become slaves. Jeremy is still on deck and he is whispering to Samuel when he leaves saying he will come to rescue him. Will this be the end of Samuel?

"It's been a long trip" Samuel said as he i thinking about going home. The trip still isn't over for him though, he's making his way down to the Carribeans right now. He's always wanted to go to the Carribeans because, of the" exotic animals and warm sand." Samuel's not going to get there tonight though, the indians aren't done with them yet, the indians block the river way with their canoes with bow and arrows, and some indians are in the trees with bow and arrows. They caught the sailors and workers in a trap and now the crew men are not ready with their muskets out to back away the indians.

Blood on The River 6#

Pgs. 92-112
Samuel made it away alive from the terrible indians, he also hepled his friend James from dying while the battle was taking place. He felt that he should never get out of the ship again until he shored deck at England, because of the "indians and their terrible act of behavior" said Samuel pg. 98. The remark that the indians put on Samuel "will never get out of his mind" said Captain Smith pg.111 which is definately true.
